Eric Sondheimer of the LA Times has announced his 2012 Player of the Year Award to go along with his Offensive Back and Offensive Lineman of the Year awards.
The LA Times' Player of the Year is Mater Dei's Thomas Duarte, who had a great season on both sides of the ball. Sondheimer reports that Duarte 15 touchdown passes as a wide receiver, while picking-off three passes with 10 sacks from his linebacker position.
Narbonne quarterback Troy Williams, who played the final games of his senior season with a separated shoulder led the Gauchos to an undefeated regular season and City Section Division I championship while passing for nearly 2,900 yards and 39 TDs. Williams is headed to the University of Washington.
The Times' Offensive Lineman is Cameron Hunt of Corona Centennial.
